The Welded Table is a stunning lesson in minimalism and simplicity. Based around the use of a limited amount of materials as well as a basic construction process, the design is nevertheless incredibly impactful. The Welded Table is not a piece of furniture that will get lost in the shadows. Instead, it makes as much of a statement as one with more pizzazz.
Designed by Alain Gilles for Bonaldo, the Welded Table may look like a 'mock-up made out of foamboard,' as written on his website, but it is actually constructed out of much sturdier materials. The Welded Table comes with either a wood or marble table top supported on a steel base, the tridimensional shape of which is achieved with a near-invisble weld.
