Height Recorder Xylophones

Weiche Wu Designs a Children's Measuring Device That Turns into Music

Designer Weiche Wu comes up with a height recorder design that'll preserve those childhood memories nobody wants to lose.

The Height Recorder is a wooden measuring stick designed to be mounted onto a wall or door frame to track a child's growth during his youth. Instead of using the door frame to make the markings, users can track the growth on the Height Recorder so that when it's time to move on, the memories can come with.

When the Height Recorder is complete, users can slice up the stick and turn it into a musical xylophone. Everyone grows at a different rate and in turn this makes the DIY xylophone completely different in looks and sounds. What better way is there to remember a childhood with the sounds of music?
