Although I'm not exactly sure I understand how the Weather Beacon works, it is an outdoor art installation that interprets radio weather reports. With flashes of colorful lights, it registers the forecast and puts on a show for New Yorkers at the World Financial Center Plaza.
Created by Erik Guzman, the Weather Beacon installation displays such atmospheric conditions as summer rainfall, winds and breezes. The Weather Beacon will be on display in New York until the end of the year.
