Design studio Sun at Six introduces its new Wave collection with inspiration from the look of calming waves. The studio is family-run and owned by Asian Americans. The Wave Chair leads the collection with a limited release to follow the Wave Shelf and the Diamond Wave Table.
Starting with the shelf is made from planks of American black walnut materials. The wave pattern tightens up when it comes to the Diamond Wave Table which is supported by six legs. The chair uses FSC-certified white ash with a loose wave pattern that is applied to the legs. It highlights traditional Chinese joinery with interwoven joints instead of nails and screws to hold all of the elements together.
