Projects and Albers Join Forces on a Watch Collection

Artist Josef Albers and printmaker Anni Albers are presenting a special watch collection alongside Projects. The design theme stems from Josef's exploration of color and the textile artistry of Anni's. The collection is made up of three designs and it can be worn anywhere.

It kicks off with the Persistent watch and the Wide Light watch -- these are inspired by Josef Albers' Homage to the Square series, which are paintings that have a systematic application of colors. He explores this concept through the subjective nature that we experience in our senses. The two watches are defined by the geometric abstract colors that are stacked on the face. The last watch is the 1925, which is inspired by Anni Albers' textile tapestry tones on a circular face timepiece.
