Walmart+ Assist has been added to the retail brand's Walmart+ membership platform as a way to help consumers who receive government assistance with a discount.
The newly added option for consumers will provide 50% off monthly or annual membership plans for all new and existing members who are eligible. The program tier will cost $6.47 per moth or $49 per year and is easy to access. Consumers only need to visit the brand online where they can verify their eligibility through SheerID to immediately access the new price for existing subscribers or newcomers.
SVP and General Manager Venessa Yates commented on Walmart+ Assist in a blog post saying, "We at Walmart+ believe that everyone should be able to enjoy all the ways a Walmart+ membership helps them save time and money, with benefits like free shipping and grocery delivery, nationwide gas discounts and video streaming with Paramount+ at no extra cost."
