London's 'Shoom' Nightclub Will Hand Out VR Headsets to Party-Goers

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of London's legendary club 'Shoom,' one of the founders of the UK's club scene, Danny Rampling, will be hosting a VR nightclub experience.

Rampling hosted his first Shoom party in 1987, in the basement of a fitness center. Only a select few guests were aware of the party's location, and the entrance door was marked with a simple smiley face. The smiley face symbol later became an emblem of London's rave and Acid House scene.

Adapting to the times, Rampling has announced his newest party, which is leveraging virtual reality and inviting guests to wear headsets that will make it appear as though artwork is changing and moving based on their dance moves.
