The VoltAero 'Cassio 1' hybrid airplane is a well-equipped air travel solution that aims to help make the transition from gas-powered aircrafts to electric ones a little bit easier for companies and operators to handle. The plane has been developed by the France-based startup with a hybrid design that features two electric propellers on the wings along with a gas-powered one in the rear. This will enable the airplane to travel for up to 3.5 hours and reach a top speed of 200 knots or 230mph.
The VoltAero 'Cassio 1' hybrid airplane was successfully tested by the company at the Royan-Médis Aérodrome in France and is expected to start being delivered to customers starting in 2021 through 2022.
