Although it may sound crazy, there's a decent chance that the Volkswagen Buggy Up! could be coming to America. The Up! is Volkswagen's latest city car. Currently sold only in Europe, the Buggy Up! could be coming to America. The idea was first floated back at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. VW's concept was designed for the beach and featured drains on the floor and a completely waterproof interior, including a removable infotainment center.
Volkswagen has reportedly received a U.S. design application patent for a production-ready Buggy Up! While this doesn't mean that it will make it to production, things are figuratively looking up. A bunch of the features in the concept version of the Volkswagen Buggy Up! likely won't make production, but its unique body and neoprene-covered seats might survive.
