Czech Republic-based cyclists Vladimir Turner and Ondrej Mlady have developed a unique way to combat the paucity of bike lanes in their native of Prague -- they’re creating their own. The two bicycle enthusiasts have developed a DIY bike lane, which beams a projected light onto the road in front of a rider, making it safer for those who ride at night and making their "lane" clearly visible to those in passing cars.
Vladimir Turner and Ondrej Mlady’s creation is reminiscent of the LightLane, a concept design that sought to create personalized bike lanes, but Turner and Mlady are using portable pico projectors to accomplish their goal. Vladimir Turner and Ondrej Mlady are calling this product "SAFETY FIRST," although no date has been set for its release.
