Spotify & The New York Times are Now Available on Virgin America Flights

Virgin America flights are now providing Spotify services as well as access to the New York Times. By providing these extra amenities, the airline will attract more flyers who enjoy experiencing a wide array of music and news entertainment on long (or short) journeys.

As Virgin America flights are already able to stream Netflix, it only makes sense that they can stream Spotify as well -- standing out as the first airline to offer such a service. The music-streaming site will provide access to its entire catalog as well as curated playlists by city. For instance, if traveling to NYC, there is a Broadway-inspired playlist or a "Welcome to the Windy City" playlist if travelling to Chicago -- though it's not exactly clear what songs that would entail.

The New York Times will provide access to four of its main sections, giving full access only to members. A great business collaboration for all parties involves, this is an excellent way for both Spotify and The New York Times to gain more subscriptions.
