VIRESA Provides Opportunities to Disabled Gamers Looking to Compete

The Việt Nam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) has officially launched a new program that will introduce esports to the disability community in Ho Chi Minh City.

Aiming to diversify the sports available to people with disabilities and to create new opportunities for participation, VIRESA has introduced a selection of esports titles. These include EA FC Online, League of Legends, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, which are popular at regional sports competitions such as the SEA Games and Asian Games and major domestic and international tournaments.

The initiative's goal is to develop the esports movement among disabled athletes and to identify talented players who could join the national team. This preparation is in anticipation of the 2026 ASEAN Paragames in Thailand, where VIRESA hopes to excel in the new esports category.
