The R18 is the latest BMW concept motorcycle. BMW gave the bike a vintage aesthetic with a modern design and up-to-date parts. All of the parts of the bike are exposed, the boxer engine, cradle frame, universal shaft, and fuel tank are all exposed to onlookers of the R18. The colors of the bike are minimalist, with white lines on the fuel tank that contrast with the black base color.
The bike is powered by a 1960s-inspired boxer engine. The engine is an 1800 cc, two-cylinder engine. The engine block and transmission were made from glass bead-blasted aluminum, which visually contrasts with the hand-polished aluminum parts of the bike. The engine block has the name of the concept bike presented on it. The BMW concept motorcycle will be shown off in 2020.
