OMCC and Diez Office Unveil the Vert Installation

Design studio Diez Office works together with urban greening expert OMCC on the Vert installation. This project was also formed in collaboration with the American Hardwood Export Council with the goal of creating a greening machine -- this was showcased at London Design Festival. It is nestled in the Chelsea College of Arts' courtyard with a timber structure surrounded by greenery to bring attention to the rising temperatures and reduced biodiversity in cities.

The co-founder of OMCC, Nicola Stattman shares with Dezeen, "The project is intended to inspire urban planners, architects and designers to tackle climate change and, above all, to develop interdisciplinary solutions together. "We want to show that large-scale greening systems can also be realised in densely built-up city centres. A garden for insects and people in the centre of the city, a place to relax."
