Antarctic Electric Vehicles

The Venturi Antarctica Can Handle the Harsh Antarctic Climate

The Venturi Antarctica is a prototype electric vehicle, designed to withstand the harsh climes of Antarctica, that recently completed its first test drive in the Southern Alps of Europe. Developed by Venturi Automobiles, this winter monster seats five people and can attain a top speed of 25 km/h on snow tracks and 45 km/h on wheels.

The Venturi Antarctica is presently in testing and developed phase. However, once fully developed, it should prove to be an ideal vehicle for scientists, allowing them to get to research sites that are otherwise difficult to access. The vehicle is also designed to not contaminate the soil or the air, ensuring that any samples that are collected are safely transported and not damaged or rendered useless.
