Walburgers, the popular UK-based casual dining burger restaurant and bar, recently expanded its product line to include the limited-edition Bonnie Burger -- a vegan haggis hamburger. The launch was in celebration of the brand's new partnership with Moving Mountains, a vegan burger manufacturer, and pays homage to the brand's Scottish roots.
The vegan haggis burger boasts 18 grams of plant protein and mimics the way traditional patties "bleed" using beetroot core. The Bonnie Burger also features natural ingredients such as pea protein, carrots, oatmeal, swedes, leeks, and oyster mushrooms. In addition, the plant-based burger will be topped with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, vegan smoked Cheddar, house-made Johnnie Walker whiskey sauce, red onions, and lettuce.
The Bonnie Burger will be available in 400 Walburgers across the UK until September 15th.
