The UUfie tables, designed by the Canadian studio of the same name, were created through a unique process that combines two distinct materials. Working with liquid metals, the UUfie tables are sections of wood that have been infused with aluminum, copper, and brass while still maintaining the rich grain that comes with timber products.
Similar to the process of ossification or fossilization, the UUfie tables take advantage of wood's porous structure. In the same way that the natural processes above involve the pores in wood or bone filling with stone, the UUfie tables fill wood pores with metals, leaving a hard and durable table that still looks just like the wood slabs that they are cast in.
The tables are available in three sizes, making them suitable for almost any type of living space.
