Hand-Drawn Corduroy Stools

BODE Boasts a Selection of Unique Stools, Each Retailing for $2,000 USD

BODE is known for "combining old fabrics with long-lost production techniques" and the brand extends this to the homeware industry with a collection of unique stools. The form of the seating is kept as a half-shaped moon and the body is crafted from coffee-stained wood. The furniture pieces boast a very creative element. While the top of each is upholstered in corduroy — surely a material that is overlooked in furniture design yet is quite nostalgia-inducing and retro, the unique stools bear one-of-a-kind illustrations that are hand-drawn atop. Each visual representation pays homage in some form or another to poet Marcel Broodhaers.

BODE's unique stool collection is done in collaboration with New York City-based design studio Green River Projectm LLC.
