This creative work of art has been under construction for almost ten years and is finally ready to open its doors to the public and wow us with its unique architecture.
Designed by architecture genius Frank Gehry, the Panama Biomuseo in Panama City was designed in a way to complement its cultural significance and its work exploring the diverse range of species which inhabit the surrounding region.
The unique architecture was designed to be a catalytic structure of sorts and a representation for the country and its population—the fragmented design is made up of colorful roof panels that reflect the region’s tropical environment.
The stunning 4,000 square meter structure is located at the entrance of the Panama Canal and features temporary gallery space, a public atrium, a museum shop, a café and various outdoor exhibits in a botanical garden.
