At first glance, this series of unconventional geometric furniture doesn't look like furniture at all. Instead, it looks like the framework for an art piece or perhaps the beginnings of a cabinet project. Yet it was the intention of the designers to create something that lived outside of the box. It provides a unique examination of perspectives and new levels of design.
Created by Philipp Schenk-Mischke and Matthias Klas for their thesis project, the unconventional geometric furniture makes up 'The Past is Never Dead.' It is comprised of two separate pieces: Cabinets and 1,2,3 Mirror. The first strips away the expectation of sides and drawers for a structure that is as confusing as it is intriguing. The latter takes on triangular shapes that not only reflect people, but the world around them as well.
