These micro apartment, conceived and put together by Ukrainian architectural firm One Studio, has shown that it is in fact possible to create a highly functional apartment even if you don't have loads of space at your disposal. This dwelling takes up a footprint of only 18 square meters but stretches over two levels and makes highly intelligent use of vertical and horizontal space alike.
Key to this micro apartment are the high ceilings, which measure over 5 meters in height. This allows for the creation of an elevated loft bedroom, which doubles usable interior space.
Another highlight of this apartment is the use of large windows that go all the way up from the ground-floor living room, helping to provide great views as well as the feeling of living in a regular-sized house.
As land becomes increasingly hard to come by, it's important that architects come up with creative ways to make use of limited space, and One Studio's micro apartment does just that.
