This Ubuntu Tablet Lets You Enjoy Open-Source Computing On the Go

The Spanish device manufacturer BQ is soon going to introduce an easy-to-use Ubuntu tablet that will make it more convenient than ever for you to take all your mobile-centric Ubuntu gadgets and convert them into personal computers.

This tablet is likely to be powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor and offer up 2 GB of RAM for considerably solid processing ability. The screen resolution of 1,280 x 800 will be useful for most applications. More specifications are set to be made available when the device is properly introduced at the Mobile World Congress event at the end of February.

This particular Ubuntu tablet will appeal to computing enthusiasts who like the idea of being able to craft together their very own Linux workstation -- all they would have to do is couple the Ubuntu tablet with their own monitor or other external display and peripherals including a mouse and keyboard.
