While there is already a component that tells the user what kind of car will be picking them up, many people don't know what that model looks like or find it difficult to spot at night.
With Uber Spot however, an LED light will be positioned on the passenger side of each vehicle, with a color chosen by the user. Not only does the system help the rider find their vehicle, but it also helps the driver locate their passengers. Upon arrival, users can press and hold a button to emit that same color from their phone screen that they can hold up in the night.
This clever solution aims to position Uber pickups as the most seamless ride service in the market.
