Inspired by the Sofia Coppola directed film The Virgin Suicides, originally a book by Jeffrey Eugenides, this U Magazine editorial is a haunting portrayal of lost innocence.
The photo shoot features models Klaudyna, Livka, Marika, Marta P and Wiktoria as the five sisters in the film, dressed in mostly carefree white ensembles and school girl outfits. Krzysztof Wyzynski, who acts as Photographer as well as Fashion Editor of the U Magazine shoot, captures the girls as they pose in classrooms, leaning out of cars and while surrounded by nature. One especially startling image in the series is of one of the girls holding onto a rope which hangs from her neck.
If you consider yourself a fan of this movie or book at all, the U Magazine photo shoot is a definite must-see.
