SO? Completes the Two Face House in Turkey

Architecture firm SO? has just completed the Two Face House located by the western village of Mugla in Turkey. The residence is complete with two contrasting facades that create a warm shelter and captivating views of its surroundings. It was designed with a focus on transforming the environmental challenges on-site into opportunities. The home faces south and the solid stone facade protects the home from the sun whilst the timber-framed facade faces north with windows for natural lighting.

The founding partner of SO?, Sevince Bayrak shares the design concept behind the home with Dezeen "The core concept of the design is to create a comfortable and enjoyable living space in a remote village for a couple, transforming environmental challenges into opportunities. The two facades of the house are designed with completely opposite materials and permeability, in parallel with the environmental conditions and architectural approach."
