These Two Coffee Tables by Charles Birk are Mountainous

These two coffee tables have been designed by British industrial designer Charles Birk as a solution for the modern home that will provide a touch of topographical chicness into any living space. The coffee tables are designed in two different color options that are both monochromatic and feature the mountain terrain of Mount Everest in the base that can be easily seen through the glass topper. The mountainous base is crafted from recycled ocean plastic to give the furniture pieces an eco-friendly edge.

The two coffee tables were explained further by Birk who said, "This is a product from my current notion and way of thinking of designing to use more of the materials we need to find a use for and to create long lifestyle products from it. This is opposed to the traditional design strategy of designing to use less of a material we need to avoid entirely."
