The twisting mechanism is borrowed and it turns on the light as well as the mood as the two cones are joined at the base in the middle. Each half of the cones controls a different portion of the light. One side of the control operates the brightness of the light and the other side controls the temperature of the light which varies from cool white to a warm red.
