Created by French sculptor Xavier Dumont, this twig park bench is an artistic example of eco-friendly furniture. The bench is one-of-a-kind and crafted by hand. Dumont used marble powder, resin and metal as the materials to create this whimsical outdoor seating.
The twig park bench appears as though it sprouted from the ground. Despite its metal-looking finish, the bench looks incredibly organic, as if it turned to steel through some type of natural process.
The twig park bench is on display at the Anthropologie's gallery at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. It will remain on display until September 27, 2012. Priced at $4,800, this bench is an investment not only in a piece of furniture, but also a piece of art.
