This minimalist turntable design is perfect for music lovers who prefer their tunes on vinyl and also have an appreciation for the visual esthetics of their electronics and home furnishings. From Israeli student Yakir Buaron, the record player also lets people look inside and see how the whole thing works as it plays.
The simple turntable design concept focuses on the movement of the needle, which is what connects the music player to the record as it spins and makes the audio work. The functional invention is currently on display at Shenkar College, where Buaron is currently a student.
The beautiful turntable demonstrates the appeal of reintroducing older technology when its look is the focus, and secondary to the quality of the function.
