Each April, more than half a million visitors tour and enjoy hundreds of acres of brightly colored blossoms at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It is the largest festival in Northwest Washington State.
Located near Seattle’s Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands and beautiful British Columbia, it is a region of many delights. Tourists can combine their visit with a bike tour, a wine tour, a helicopter flight, or a number of other activities. This is the perfect get-away for Master Gardeners or gardener wannabes.
For less intrepid tulip-lovers, posters, shown in the gallery above, and other goodies are available from the festival site.
