Knoll Shines a Spotlight on the Tugendhat Chair Design

Knoll shines a spotlight on the refreshed iteration of the Tugendhat Chair which has arrived for 2024. The silhouette was first designed in 129 and it was designed for Villa Tugendhat Chair in Brno, Czech Republic by Ludwug Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich. Intentionally, the furniture as meant to be a work of art that fused architecture, furnishings, grounds, and decorations specifically for the project.

The relaunch is honored by being photographed in the iconic villa itself. The Tugendhat Chair pushed boundaries ahead of its time as it uses progressive metalworking equipment to create its dynamic form. It borrows elements from the classic Barcelona chair and the Brno chair all at once with a flat bar steel supporting the size and feel of the lounge-like structure.
