The SIHH 2016 trade fair saw many new watches with tech upgrades and skeleton faces but this Audemars Piguet model stunned the crowd with its excessive exuberance. Retailed for $637,000, this watch is coated with an immense amount of diamonds.
Two versions of the watch were presented at this year's Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie trade fair, with one being entirely made of diamonds while the other is a mixture of diamonds and onyx. The diamond timepiece became the envy of all women in the room as soon as its 4,653 cut diamond case and bracelet -- as well as its 206 cut diamond dial -- hit center stage.
With a grand total of 4,859 diamonds, this watch took 1,500 hours of construction, design and engineering.
