Tracktion Software has released the Master Mix plug-in, an audio mixing and mastering audio effect that's widely compatible with various computer operating systems. The plug-in is a single tool that provides dynamic and equalization control, which simplifies the process of editing audio without compromising quality.

Tracktion has organized Master Mix's features atop a dark background with bright yellow accenting, which serves to connect active parameters throughout the different components. In all, the user interface achieves a very clean and functional look, optimized for mix and mastering work—or more liberally, as an augmented channel strip utility.

Beyond the plug-in's simplicity, Master Mix is remarkably efficient, with a streamlined workflow to tailor the included processing effects to suit a specific task. The components of Master Mix include: three dynamic processors with designated controls and variable crossovers, two six-band parametric EQ's for pre and post dynamic equalization, a dynamics contour edit screen for manipulating compressor settings, noise gate, and a soft-clip limiter.

Master Mix is currently available as a digital download through Tracktion's company website, and is widely compatible with MacOS, Windows, and the Ubuntu distribution of Linux.
