The 'Toyota Trailhunter' is a conceptual trim for Toyota trucks that comes from the automaker itself. The trim essentially transforms regular utility trucks into all-purpose off-roading powerhouses with everything from the accessories to the performance being adjusted.
The Trailhunter trim brings changes to the mounting racks on the roof and rear of the trucks, as well as the addition of skid plates on either bumper. The trim also features a built-in rooftop tent for convenient camping access, a refrigerator to keep goods cold while on the road, and extra LED lighting for safety and security reasons.
In terms of its performance changes, Toyota equips the Trailhunter trim with off-road wheels and tires, as well as a specially-tuned suspension kit for more trying environments. The core drivetrain does not change with the Trailhunter kit, though. The Toyota Trailhunter, should the design be finalized, is slated for a 2023 release.
