Photographer Benoit Paillé has truly captured the essence of tourist portraits with his series entitled ‘Tourist Stranger Self Portraits.’ Whether it is the outfits that are worn or just the ways in which these strangers pose, there is something captivating about these beach self-portraits.
Benoit does not do much in regards to the photos, other than choosing the beach setting and the composition. The rest is all up to the strangers who volunteer to take their portraits. Each photo was taken on the beaches of Mexico with the help of a remote trigger that was given to each subject.
The series features people ranging from the absolutely pale to the crispy bronzed and the not-so-fit to the uncomfortably buff.
