Panasonic has added two new models to its Toughpad series of rugged tablets designer for users on the move. The Toughpad FZ-E1 and Toughpad FZ-X1.
These new Toughpads were developed for use by military, transportation, logistics and utility workers. They exceed military-grade ruggedness standards, and also hold up ably to dust and water. They are capable of operating underwater to a depth of 5 feet for up to 30 minutes. They are also highly secure, making them a good fit for government officials dealing with sensitive data and operations.
Both Toughpads promise a long battery life and an awesome rain-sensing feature that prevents the HD touchscreen from being activated by rain droplets. The main difference between the two is that the FZ-E1 runs a Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld operating system while the FZ-X1 uses Android 4.2.2.
