A team of students including Jon Grossman collaborated on this concept for the Touch Printer. The goal of the project was to brainstorm about the features that the idea publisher would possess for future students. Three objectives were kept in mind throughout the creative process, upholding efficiency, customizability and approachability.
The Touch Printer could stand upon its own four legs or have its supports removed for its positioning upon a table. The user would not require a computer or the skills to network his own machine, for this device would receive data from USB sticks and online storage systems like Google Drive. Up to three users would interact with the gadget with touchscreen surfaces, enabling them to preview and perfect their layouts, plus arrange special paper cutting effects before the prints and documents are ejected.
