In anticipation of the 2024 solar eclipse, Casey Jones Distillery announced the launch of a four-grain Total Eclipse Kentucky Straight Bourbon and the return of its Total Eclipse Moonshine.
The Total Eclipse Moonshine debuted for the 2017 solar eclipse and the well-balanced Total Eclipse Kentucky Straight Bourbon was distilled in small batches in a hybrid pot still. This new release has aromas of baking spice and butterscotch with a "semi-sweet body of orange zest, toasted oak and a pecan nut finish."
The Total Eclipse Kentucky Straight Bourbon is ready to be savored in Casey Jones Distillery's recipe for an Eclipse Old Fashioned, which includes vanilla liqueur and orange liqueur, plus sanding or granulated sugar, a fresh orange wedge and orange bitters.
