The next time you're commuting, you may want to look your best as you may be drawn by one of the talented artists in the Toronto Subway Sketch Group.
The Toronto Subway Sketch Group is comprised of local artists who regularly gather on Sundays to hone their illustrative skills by sitting on subway trains and drawing the random people who happen to cross their paths. Artists of any skill level and talent are invited to participate and the cost of admission is the cost of a train ticket: $3.00. Prospective TSSG members need only meet the existing members at Union Station's subway platform, who are easily identifiable by their sketchpads in hand.
As you can see by the images in this gallery, genuine illustrative works do indeed get produced during these meetings.
