Yesul Jang is a graduate from ÉCAL and her recent piece is the Tiny Home Bed designed for urban Millennials and their need for space-conscious solutions. The new furniture piece is a high bed with storage space beneath the mattress, hidden by a fabric curtain. It is designed for young students who reside in shared spaces or compact living environments, as the designer experienced herself.
The storage bed is constructed using wood and fabric materials and the main objective was to create something that is both light and stable for simple shipping and construction. To finish off the piece, Jang applied a track system along the top of the bed frame with a polyester curtain to provide accessible storage space.
