The old school Converse laces are almost as iconic as the Chuck Taylors that rock the feet of way too many people these days. The flat style of the laces has always been a trademark of the shoe and now it’s being put to good use by designer Timothy Liles.
Liles has taken hundreds of laces and wrapped entire chairs in them to create a collection of individual seating. Each chair is different from the other (maybe by choice, maybe not…you try wrapping chairs with identical lacing). It’s a really innovative twist on a much loved brand.
