NetJets has unveiled a massive piece of Timorous Beasties artwork painted onto the tail of its Signature Series Challenger 350 jet. This massive art display was created to celebrate the 12th year of NetJets being the Timorous Beasties event's official partner.
The design is a simple pattern of repetition. Upon completion of the artwork, the pattern looked magical and hypnotizing rather than simple. From a distance, the art appears to look like feathers from a bird. The design was based on an existing piece of art and was then recreated on a much larger scale to be placed on the massive tail of the jet.
The entire process took 10 hours to complete. The jet is expected to make about 110 flights during this year’s Art Basel.
