The Tim Coppens Swarovski Helmet Luxuriously Avoids Brain Damage

The Tim Coppens Swarovski Helmet isn't one's average Ducati Formula 1 Racing Helmet. While that is an impressive head protector in and of itself, the New York-based Belgian fashion designer has encrusted it with sparkling crystals. Luxuriously simple, it is only appropriate that he was a 2013 CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America ) Swarovski nominee.

Fit for Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, the Tim Coppens Swarovski Helmet made its debut at the famed NYC boutique, Fivestory. Decorated almost entirely in white crystals, there is a black strip in the center that gives it a bit of edge. Coppens reveals, "Putting on the stones can get a bit tedious, like peeling shrimp, but the end result is beautiful."
