Laura Gummerman has revealed a playful and creative craft idea to design homemade tie dye soaps.
The process begins with two cups of pure white melt-and-pour soaps that are placed in a microwavable container and melted into a liquid form. The soaps must be stirred at 30 second intervals as they are being melted. Allow the soap to cool before pouring it into muffin tray-like containers that are line with droplets of soap dye. At this point an oil fragrance can be added, but it's not necessary. When the molds are filled half way, spray them with rubbing alcohol and add drops of soap dye. Continue filling and add a few more drops of color on top, after spraying with more alcohol. Use a popsicle stick to stir the soaps and leave to set.
