Using bright festive colors, Alvarez decorates and revamps all kinds of furniture, including benches and chairs in thread for a new take on interior design. The thread used is coated in white glue that dries clear, making the threads adhere securely to the furniture without having to use nails, staples or other tools to keep them in place. The wrapping creates a cool webbing effect around the joints and bends of the furniture. Throughout his experimentation with this machine, Alvarez has come up with several design patterns that were mostly happy accidents.
