Los Angeles-based brand The Times' Fall/Winter Lookbook for 2014 possesses a sense of nostalgia.
Even the brand's (full) name, "These Are The Times," sounds vaguely wistful, sentimental. Though the times they are referring to are the current times, there's an awareness that the present is fleeting, ephemeral. Some days, we can be pining for a moment, even as it's happening, knowing that soon, it will be nothing but a memory. The name encourages us to, at the very least, enjoy our present moment with as much feeling and intensity as we can muster.
Beyond the nostalgic energy of the lookbook, the clothing of the collection is outdoorsy, comfortable and generally encompasses a feel-good vibe. The lookbook was shot by Venice-based photographer Cheezy in the Southern Alps.
