Audio-Ripping Keychains

The SLUG Downloads Online Streaming Music with Ease

Chances are there's a song someone loves online that isn't available through torrents and single MP3s -- that is, until The SLUG came along.

The SLUG is an interesting development by Kenneth Gibbs and Seena Zanidpour. This little device records streaming audio off of the computer and external devices. To grab files off the computer, simply plug it in; for external devices, there's a 3.55 audio jack that can be connected to the MP3 player so that users can grab tunes off of it. Before record companies start to worry, both Gibbs and Seena do not condone ripping audio. They've said that The SLUG is only usable if the user agrees with the terms and conditions of the product and if the audio is free to "public domain or the user has the rights to."
