Architecture studio Urb proposes the idea of creating the Loop, which is a covered highway that is curated for cyclists and pedestrians wrapping around Dubai. It is made to encourage the city's residents to choose healthier modes of transportation rather than cars as the Loop would also feature a hyperloop line. It would be 93 kilometers long and be encased in a glazed tube.
The Chief Executive Officer of Urb Baharash Bagherian speaks about the Loop, noting that "The Loop aims to make Dubai the most connected city on earth by foot or bike. It will provide an enjoyable climate-controlled all-year environment, to make walking and cycling the primary mode of transport for Dubai's residents, in line with its new 20-minute city initiative."
