Tourist-Increasing Street Art

The 'L.I.S.A Project' Aims to Increase Tourism Through Graffiti

The 'L.I.S.A Project' is an initiative that aims to strategically place stunning street art in New York's Little Italy in order to gain more tourism. The idea is to have Little Italy become Manhattan's only graffiti district by having some of the most talented artists create murals there.

The project was established by Ralph Tramontana who is the Little Italy Merchants Association's president. With such a dynamic and diverse area like New York it can be difficult to gain traffic to each area. Little Italy is not the booming neighborhood that it once was so any help to bring the historic area back to its glory days would be good for the inhabitants there. With work from brilliant artists like Hanksy, Tristan Eaton, Ron English and Bishop203, the L.I.S.A Project will definitely have an impact.
