Never would I have thought that grandma tassels could look tribal, that is until I encounter Marani’s ‘The Hyena and Other Men’ collection. As I read more of Style Bubble’s posting, I discovered that Alberto Marani actually derived the line from the traditional skirt hyena tamers wore. You learn something new every day.
Inspired by Pieter Hugo’s Nigerian photography, ‘The Hyena and Other Men’ collection maintains an ethnic appeal while introducing it into an urban setting. Some may find these skirts slightly too over-the-top, but this line is definitely unlike anything I’ve seen so far, considering that there has been a few tribal fashions covered at Trend Hunter recently.
